

BLANCA GOMEZ
ABOUT:
Blanca Gomez and her children are longtime residents of the High Desert. Blanca was raised in the foster care system for a majority of her life. She understands the every day struggle of working and parenting.

EDUCATION:
As a young child, Blanca was inspired by her experiences to seek higher education opportunities. She attained her Associates Degree from Victor Valley Community College early on. Blanca also attained a Bachelors Degree in English Composition/Applied Linguistics and is currently working on a Masters Degree.
​
CAREER:
Blanca is employed as an American Sign Language interpreter for the hearing impaired and also employed at Victor Valley College. She is a teaching associate at California State University San Bernardino as well.
PASSION:
Blanca is very active in the community and is a strong advocate for marginalized communities. She is dedicated to finding solutions in a collaborative manner and seeks to find others who share similar passions.

COMMUNITY:
Blanca devotes a vast portion of her time volunteering in different organizations. Blanca has volunteered periodically in senior venues, for non-profit organizations, local food banks, local charity groups, St. Mary's Hospital, legal aid services, grade panel committees, Today's Woman Foundation,
The Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels.

PARTICIPATION:
Blanca holds several merit/accomplishment awards from servicing distinct organizations/schools. Her historical involvement holds true even today. She is a member of various organizations such as the League of Women Voters and has served as a member of Toastmasters, Who's Who, Relay for Life and CSEA.
REPRESENTATION:
With Blanca's selfless, consistent volunteerism and first-hand participation in our community she is touch with the real needs of the People. We ask for your vote to help Blanca Gomez represent You on Victorville's City Council. Thank you.
