Ever since Spring of 2006, Fontella Grimes, a councelor, among two other counselors (Peggy Mayer and Manuel Gaytan) has taken on the priviledge of seeing students at VVC complete ntheir two year degrees. This rewarding ceremony has speakers from different realms of life, economic status, gender, cultural background, and literacies motivated through real student struggles and experiences in less than five minutes a piece.
